Ferrous

Ferrous (metals no iron components): is the name of all metals and alloys, except iron and iron alloys. By convention, non-ferrous metals are divided into the following groups:

• Light metals (aluminum, titanium, magnesium), specific gravity from 1.7 to 4.5 g / cm 3 ;
• Heavy metals (copper, lead, nickel, zinc, tin), specific gravity from 4.5 to 11.3 g / cm 3 ;
• Precious metals (gold, silver and platinum group); refractory metals;
