7-9 April 2011 – Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre - HCMC, Air Liquide joined the French Pavilion of UBIFRANCE to showcase high tech solutions from French companies to the metrology and analysis sectors.

At the Show, Air Liquide presented its world leading brand of packaged high purity gases and equipment known as ALPHAGAZ^TM, and other leading technologies and products for use in laboratories.

ALPHAGAZ^TM products include Ultra High Purity gases such as Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon, Helium, Hydrogen,… packaged in specially designed high quality cylinders equipped with special valves, regulators and supply systems. Laboratory gases for calibration and analysis also include products from CALGAZ and SCOTT gases.

 Air Liquide is the world leader in gases for industry, health and the environment, and is present in 80 countries with 42,300 employees. Oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and rare gases have been at the core of Air Liquide’s activities since its creation in 1902.

March 3^rd marked another year of business success and recognition of Air Liquide Vietnam as it was again awarded Golden Dragon Award for its outstanding performance and contribution to the Vietnamese economy and community.

Air Liquide Vietnam was among 70 foreign invested enterprises to receive the honor this time. They are all well-known names in a diverse range of sectors, including finance and banking, information technology, automobile and motorbikes, food and beverage, agriculture, textile and cosmetics... had excellent performance in business and contributions to society in 2011.

Air Liquide consolidated its footprint in Vietnam through a series of success, especially in providing high tech projects such as TCO and technical glass in My Xuan, Electric lighting products in Binh Duong; Electronics, healthcare, food and drink in Bac Ninh….

and commented by professor Dao Nguyen Cat – Editor in Chief of Vietnam Economic Times (VET) “The award is the recognition from State agencies and organizations, readers of Vietnam Economic Times and, especially, the community as a whole of their outstanding performance and contribution over the last year” in the Editor’s Letter of VET March 2012.

Quarter 1, 2013, the project “Research the Carbon Cycling in Mangrove” in Can Gio – Ho Chi Minh City was approved by AL Foundation. This is the sixth project in Vietnam funded by AL Foundation.

The project was run by Institute for Development Research (in French, Institut de Recherche pour le Développement  – IRD). Can Gio site is one of the largest biosphere reserves with more than 60 pieces of mangroves. The goal of this two-year-long study is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of this ecosystem’s carbon cycle over a more than 3 km2 area in a humid tropical region. The aim is to create a proper mangrove observatory in a variety of climate zones.
