Water Supply System According to the planning, water supply meets following demands: - Make use of existing surface water. - Carrying water from the mainland to the island by Cam Pha water supply system with a capacity of 16,0 m3/day. - Construction of reservoirs and spillway upstream reservoirs such as: Khe Ngai reservoir (Doan Ket commune) with capacity of 5 million m3, Dong Dong reservoir (Binh Dan) with capacity of 7 million m3, Dong Dinh reservoir (Tan Lap - Tra Ban island) with capacity of 5 million m3 and other water plants with capacity of 6,000-8,000 m3.
Sewage Treament - At tourist areas belongs to Cai Bau island and Van Hai archipelago, wastewater will be processed locally with the treatment stations of small and medium scale; the total amount of wastewater is about 750 m3/day; - Centers of communes and residential areas to build their own water drainage system (rainwater and wastewater), with a total volume of wastewater to be treated approximately 1,520 m3/day; - For the industrial parks in economic zone, treatment station will be built for each area with a total volume of wastewater to be treated approximately 6,900 m3/day.
