Binh Phuoc is located in the SKER. It shares border with DakNong province in the north, Lam Dong and Dong Nai provinces in the south and Tay Ninh province and Cambodia Kingdom in the west. |

Natural Resources
Land resource: Binh Phuoc has 510,262 ha of land suitable for agro-forestry production, making up 74.43% of natural land area, in which soil with high fertility, basalt red soil and black soil make up 60% suitable for the province’s main crop plants such as rubber, fruit trees, grass for domestic animal. Land with weathered layer of over 100cm thick is 440,409 ha making up 64.26%, land with gradient less than 15o is 526,781 ha, making up 76.82%. Generally, Binh Phuoc has good quality, fertile land which is suitable for many kinds of crop-plants, especially long term industrial plants like rubber, cashew, pepper, coffee, fruit trees. Forestry resource: Total forestry area is 350,353 ha (making up 51% of the whole Province area), in which forestry land area is 167,340 ha. Forest has special functions, Bu Gia Map natural preserve area with 26,032 ha, Ba Ra cultural historic prestige area with 1,025 ha, and Cat Tien national park with 5,399 ha. Natural forest in Binh Phuoc is rich reserve, abundant kinds and plays an important role in maintaining and protecting ecology environment for the South East region. Water resource: Water resource consists of some big rivers like the Dong Nai river, the Sai Gon river, the Be river, etc and lots of big springs distributed covering the whole province. Besides, there are many lakes and dams such as Dong Xoai lake, Cam Spring, Forbidden Forest, Thac Mo, Can Don, Srok Phu Mieng hydroelectricity dams. Underground water source: The lowlying lands alongside rivers and streams, especially in the south of the Province the water resource is abundant and could be exploited to serve the socio – economic development. Mineral resource: There are twenty kinds of mineral products, in which construction materials like sands, stones, clay, puzolan, kaolin, limstones etc are mineral products with highest reserve. Construction stones in eight districts, towns is 200 million m3 in reserve; tile clay distributed in Binh Long and Chon Thanh, Phuoc Long is 24 million m3 in reserve; kaolin and pottery and china clay is 30 million m3 in reserve. Generally, mineral resource is in potential level that has not been exploited much. |

Transportation
Province has 417 routes with total length of 3,797 km, in which 9 asphalted and connoted road routes are 255.49 km in length, 53 routes of smooth asphalted road are 772.77 km, 181 routes of red graved road are 2,159 km and 174 routes of path are 60,959 km. There are two national highways crossing the province: the National Road N014 connecting the West Highland (Truong Son industrialized road), Binh Phuoc, and Ho Chi Minh City is an asphalted highway. In the upcoming time, the part of the highway connecting the southwest region and the part which crosses Binh Phuoc will be expanded into 4 lanes. The National Road N013 from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Phuoc is being expanded and covered with asphalted concrete layer for four lanes to Binh Long district; the route which connects Tay Ninh and Lam Dong was asphalted; the route which connects Dong Nai province is ready to be upgraded and expanded. The whole province has 288 bridges with total length of 4,057m. Railway: In the future, Binh Phuoc will have Trans-Asia railway crossing Hoa Lu international border gate of Binh Phuoc Province and rail way from Ho Chi Minh City to Dak-Nong (Highland) crossing Binh Phuoc. |

Post-telecommunications network is gradually modernized and invested communes, wards, towns to ensure communications domestically and internationally; telephone sets and mobile phones make up 26 ones/ 100 people. The proportion of people using Internet makes up 4.5 persons/ 100 people, mobile phone wave covers all towns and the provincial centers. |
