Northern border with Yunnan province - China; east with the provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Son La; west and south by the provinces of Dien Bien.

Climate

Natural Resources

Song Nam Na + (area of about 2,190 km2 basin) flows through the whole province including Phong Tho, Tam Duong area, north-west section of Sin Ho with an average flow module is 40-80 m3/s.

Transportation

Lai Chau province is a mountainous border, hilly mountain terrain dissected, alternating deep and narrow valleys, with so many plateaus, rivers difficult to transport development.
